Not only did the sentence decrease in length, but my terms shifted to become more colloquial as well, which are both signs that it had shifted to a more conversational style of writing. This transitioned into ,”Every single experience a person has had in their life changes their perception,” (Gould Podcast 1). A large portion of my local revision from Paper 3 to the Podcast Paper were concerning my personal grammatical and word choices, ” Every one of those experiences are a mess of variables that no one could ever think through entirely to realize exactly the way that one person is feeling,” (Gould Formal 1). This change allowed for the removal of nearly a whole page worth of writing, and in exchange it spared the life of the citations from Danielle Ofri and Leslie Jamison. I wanted to retain in depth explorations into my two other sources and in order to do this I resorted to removing a strong portion of my paper for the greater good. The most significant shortening was made in the fashion of ridding my paper of the Chen source. While it can be quite difficult to remove phrases, and words from one’s work I was able to remove entire sections in my podcast paper from the original paper 3. Reflection: The creation of the final podcast paper was one of the most beneficial works in order to gain a better understanding of not only my writing style but also of how to properly edit.
